    Hey Laura,

Just finished my first bear using your pattern, Pixie Bear.  I am an experienced sewer, but I will admit the instructions challenged me some what. I had to read and re-read them several times to understand them.  And, I just worked through the process.  I learned from the mistakes in putting the bear together.  I am not completely satisfied with the neck joint as I feel that it is really weak.  However, this is my first bear that I have constructed in sewing. I have crocheted several bears, but the first sewn bear. Do not plan for this to be the last one. The next bear I plan will be 12-15 inches. I will need to order additional joint hardware. Onto the next one.  I call him Joey.  Any comments are welcome.  [attachment file=”0207201613[21295] Bear.jpg”]

Vickie I think he turned out very cute!  I’m sorry you had trouble with the instructions.   I think your next bear will be easier using the video tutorials.

As for the neck joint it just may take some practice getting the cotter pin turned. I like my bears’ neck joints to have a little wiggle to them for cute poses.

Today’s finish! My daughter and I call him call him B-bear. I have not yet found a non articulated bear pattern I love but with this traditional style head this one comes close. Just have to order some joints soon to expand the fluff friends.

        Hi Natalie,

For some reason the photo is not showing up and I’d love to see him!  Why don’t you email it to me at:  LL@TeddiesbyLauraLynn.com and I’ll get it posted here.

Natalie your  “B-Bear is adorable!  I love how you coordinated his paw color to his nose color.  He’s a very cheery fellow.  I was able to attach his picture here.
