My local fabric store has very few of the Gutermann upholstery thread colors in stock. Is their heavy duty top-stitching thread okay to use instead of upholstery? All colors imaginable are available online, but I haven’t had good luck with matching fabric to colors shown on my screen. Thanks.
Sure Phyllis, that should work just fine! I usually have a half a dozen colors on hand that match close enough. I’m out of town right now, but when I get back I’ll take a photo of the threads I keep on hand.
Hi Phyllis! I’m sorry for the long delay! I just posted a video of the threads I prefer for hand sewing and closing seams, and how I choose which color to use!
