Would you like to add a little “pop” to your teddy bear’s eyes? Try adding some eye whites. This is especially helpful on darker colored bears to make the eyes… the windows to their soul… really show.

September 13, 2017 at 2:37 pm #3164I have been making Keepsake Memory Bears for over 13 years now and have been so very busy with it. Learned how to make them using a “generic” pattern for years and every week it seems my list just keeps growing. My first bear(s) were made from my Dad’s old shirts after he passed and my sister told me about bears she’d seen made from clothing from someone who has passed. I had not sewn in over 30 yrs. and decided that Christmas to surprise her, my mom and my other sister. That was the beginning of my journey LOL! I think I am addicted. I have only made one actual fur bear and gifted my sister with it with the pads being from my Mom’s favorite blue sweater. I have been wanting to try this needle felting technique for many years. Thank you so very much for this fantastic teaching video. Can’t wait to try this and can’t wait to watch more of your classes!!!

December 28, 2017 at 2:55 am #3339Great tutorial…I always wondered how those felting needles worked. I take it that white wool or alpaca could be used instead of the poly?
thanks Laura Lynn!
December 28, 2017 at 2:19 pm #3341I’m glad you enjoyed this tutorial Lisa 🙂
Yes, you could use white wool or alpaca as well. I found that my polyester stuffing was whiter than the white wool I had on hand.
