Jolly VanJingles Class & Questions

Please meet Jolly VanJingles – one of Santa’s teddy bear elves.  
He 9″ tall, 7″ sitting. He has a bent leg design and is designed to sit.  
Jolly VanJingles also has bent arms. He is easy to make as does not have foot pads or paw pads,
and he is all dressed up for Christmas!

The complete list of supplies to make Jolly is on his pattern.  You will need a fat 1/8th of mohair (or other bear  making fur) for the bear colored part of Jolly, and another fat 1/8th of mohair for the colored suit part of him.  (a fat 1/8th = 9″ x 25″ or 23 cm x 65 cm)
I used 5/8″ curly matted mohair in two colors for my bear.

Jolly’s class is a mini class.  I will show you the steps that are unique to making Jolly.  If you need more bear making help, be sure to check out Marco’s class which goes into every detail of bear making.

After you have downloaded your pattern, print the pattern pieces out on heavy paper (like card stock or half of a manila folder).  Then cut your pattern pieces out cutting on the inside of the lines.  Gather your tools and supplies together (they are listed on the first page of the pattern, and you are ready to begin your lessons!  Let’s get started!
