You must be logged in to view attached files.I love hearing how you all come up with names! Â Yes, I have to wait until the bear is finished too. Â I once tried to name a bear in advance. Â I had this lovely cream colored mohair with purple tips. Â I was going to call her Lilacia. Â But when the bear was finished it was definitely a boy! LOL!
Mandy that is so cool about your other half’s hobby! Â Talk about bringing history to life!
Happy Bear Making,
Laura LynnHi Phyllis! Â I’m sorry for the long delay! Â I just posted a video of the threads I prefer for hand sewing and closing seams, and how I choose which color to use!

Sure Phyllis, that should work just fine! Â I usually have a half a dozen colors on hand that match close enough. Â I’m out of town right now, but when I get back I’ll take a photo of the threads I keep on hand.
Happy Bear Making,
Laura LynnThat is wonderful Mandy! Â Can’t wait to see your Jolly bear!
Happy Bear Making,
Laura LynnChris I understand!  It can be scary to trim that fur after all of the work you have already put into your bear. The 12″ bear has a video showing you how I am trimming Marco, the 12″ bear. Go slowly, trim just a little at a time. You get better and more confident with each bear you do. 🙂
Happy Bear Making,
Laura LynnHi Chris!
I’m so happy to have you join us. Â I think it’s great that you were able to learn from books and magazines. Â I hope you enjoy the classes here. Â If you think of a class you would like to see, please be sure to mention it in the “Class Requests” forum. Â Which class are you hoping to work on first?
