I am a retired professional who is looking for a new adventure. I live in south Alabama, actually 75 miles from Florida's beautiful gulf coast. The Florida state line is 18 miles from the front door of my house. I just completed my first bear. I made him for my great-great nephew who is due in May. I have crocheted for many years making blankets, slippers, etc. However, this year I tried crocheting various animals. I find myself talking to them as I am constructing them. Several years ago, I made handcrafted Santas and sold them at local craft shows. I also sew and have been sewing since I was a teenager, a generational thing. Now I want to try making a fur "Teddy". So here I am. I am married to a wonderful man and we share our home with two dogs.
